I got this solely because I expected my cats, child, husband, and puppy would destroy it. I was correct. I didn't expect the filling to be so flat after a few months. I'll have to restuff or add more. The overall hardware of the couch is really good. It's held up great but not the most comfortable for long periods of timeThe only things we have a hard time with is the two sections don’t clamp or hold together whatsoeverand they DO NOT provide a C clamp or hook to do it yourself. It’s not a couch you can jump on cause it does creek in areas when you first sit. So that being said it’s not very suitable if you have young kids or teenagers who like to plop on the couch instead of sit calmly. At the time of this, I've had the couch less than 2 months.Shipping, it comes in 4 boxes. One box didn't arrive, had to reorder, then refuse 3 of the boxes. Now that I have waited a month, I finally have the thing assembled. That is where this clock starts ticking. It is fairly light weight, this means the quality of wood is not the best. It is not the most sturdy furniture you will find. Far from it.Cushions- For some inane reason, they are attached to the cover. Trying to get them disconnected is a real pain in the ....neck (to avoid the profanity filter).Kid spilled some juice. Washed the whole cushion as I could get it detached. It did come out completely. So the fabric is pretty good.Comfort - meh, its a bit too upright for my tastes, Up sit like you are in a formal tea ceremony. Straight up. Cushions themselves are pretty comfortable. The cushions do tend to slide out, but easy to put back in.Sturdiness- now we get to the nuts and bolts...or rather cheap wood. I (200lbs) sat down on one of the supports (underside supports that line up roughly where the cushions meet on top. Loud crack. Honestly, its more comfortable now, no hard line under your butt. Butt...now I have to reinforce it so it doesn't completely break.Great starter couch for kids (unless they jump on it- but of course, kids never jump on furniture). If you are 100lbs sopping wet...probably a good buy. If you are an average weight man (175+) this couch will break.Another annoying thing is this is a two piece couch, but no way to connect them and prevent them from sliding apart. I solved this with $20 of locking C clamps from Lowes. This allows for me to reverse the chaise lounge without drilling holes or breaking the fabric anywhere.Biggest complaint is the weakness of the wood. Buyer beware.Update (4 days after posting the main review).I was sitting on the couch. I had already reinforced the broken support. I adjusted how I was sitting and hear a second loud crack. Surprise, broke a second support. So tomorrow I get to brace that one as well.$600 wasted. They will only take returns IF it is in the original boxes. Guess I am going to Frankenstein this thing with as much REAL wood and metal supports as I can. After reading the reviews I was skeptical about the assembly of the couch it’s really easy to put together it’s really common sense just figure out what side you want your chaise to be on before you start screwing it together I would definitely go get the metal washers and not use the plastic ones included in the box the couch is a little on the firm side but I guess it will soften up over time ..only issue I really have is the couch will separate but that can be fixed all in all you get what you paid forMy bf and I bought this couch for our apartment. At first we were skeptical about purchasing a couch with barely any reviews off of Amazon but I’m so glad we did! It is pretty nice for the price! Here I’ll list some pros and cons to help you decide.Pro:- it makes our small one bedroom apartment looks more spacious- delivery was quite fast. Came in 3 big boxes and 1 small box. Each box wasn’t that heavy at all.- I love how this couch is mainly cushions so it won’t be too hard when we have to move it out and down our apartment- has the right amount of firmness and pretty comfortable!- pretty affordable- assembly was quite easy- beautiful color!Cons:- it does have a smell and I think it’s just that new furniture smell.. hopefully with more use the smell will disappear- missing some parts of the instructions- one of the holes for one of the F pieces were not drill on correctly so it wasn’t going to fit in the hole for the bed so how we remedy that was to use a hammer to hammer the screw straight.- the back cushions are all uneven per my picture- yes the covers are removable but it’s a pain in the ass to remove bc the inside is tied together by some strings which when I threw in the washer the strings came undone so that is why some of my pillow cushions doesn’t have that dented lookFor those that are saying the back flexes excessively if you lean on it, it is because you didn’t use the screw washers that were included to tighten the pieces together. I think this is a fault of the assembly instructions. They didn’t include that part in the instructions.
