It is soft, but definitely not a quality item and is the thickness of a beach towel. I thought for the price it would be a bit heavier. It does not really retain heat. Perhaps a nice summer cover.I disliked this item! It was for myself and although it was soft and light weight it was not an accurate size! I wish they would use realistic pictures when selling items so I can make sure to get what I need.
